Jetex Volvo V70 2.4L Exhaust Mod (thanks to TrackCraft Performance)

Alex from TrackCraft Performance (a YouTube channel focused on restoring, maintaining, and thoughtfully upgrading older vehicles for real-world use) is currently developing a 1999 Volvo V70 2.4 non-turbo as a long-term project on the channel. His goal with this build is to create a subtle “sleeper” style car; something that retains its comfort and daily usability, while being refined and improved in all the right areas to make it a genuinely capable and enjoyable vehicle.
The exhaust system on the car was in a poor condition; heavily corroded and the rear section had failed at a mounting point, temporarily held in place. As such, replacing the system was not just an upgrade, but a necessity.
Alex was extremely interested in the Jetex half system (Part Number: 20-H2), which appeared to be the perfect solution for his project.
What stood out for Alex about the Jetex system was how well it aligns with his direction of the build:
• Stainless steel construction for long-term durability.
• Improved exhaust flow to help the engine breathe more efficiently.
• Retention of silencers to maintain a refined, usable sound level.
• A deeper, cleaner exhaust note that suits the 5-cylinder engine.
• A balanced approach between performance and comfort.
Rather than chasing aggressive noise or outright power figures, his aim was to enhance the character of the car while keeping it comfortable and enjoyable for long-distance driving. He was hoping the system would complement the custom intake setup currently in development, along with other supporting upgrades, to create a well-rounded and cohesive package.
Jetex duly collaborated with Alex and supplied the exhaust system in question. Alex’s fitting and thoughts on the exhaust have been posted to his YouTube channel which can be found here:
